Wilfried Burunow

Wilfried Burunow, 70, passed away May 4, 2024. He was born in Horn, Germany to the late Wilhelm and Frieda (Rode) Burunow and was a 1973 Cuyahoga Falls High School graduate.

After graduation, Wil attended 4 years of trade school and became a skilled trade machinist, most recently working for Logan Machine. He was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church, where he serves as a Trustee, was a long-time member of the Charles Faust American Legion Post 281 and was an avid Fly Fisherman.

He is survived by his beloved wife, “My” Linda; son, James (Kristin) Bergdorf; sister, Waltraud Brothers; sister-in-law, Cathy Heitzenrater; niece, Shelby; and loving pup, Heidi.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at 12 noon at Concordia Lutheran Church, 724 Sumner St., Akron, OH 44311 with The Rev. Dr. Robert W. Tauscher officiating. In lieu of flowers, donatins may be made to the church in memory of Wil.
