William B. Syler Sr., 86, passed away March 28, 2015. He was born in Akron to the late Earl and Carrie (Wyatt) Syler and was a Garfield High School graduate. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, was a member of the Local 84, and loved fishing and camping.
Preceded in death by his wife, Marian, and grandsons, Paul and Jeff, he is survived by his children, William Jr. (Dawn), Theresa (Terry) Brachna, William Smith, Frank Smith (Dot Martin) and Patricia Delaney; 10 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; sister, Jeannie Sorrik; and loving cat Rusty.
The family would like to give special thanks to dear neighbor, Rosemary, and the staff of Hospice of Summa, especially Pastor Mike and Linda Nugent.
The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home & Chapel, 760 E. Market St. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park, where military honors will be conducted by American Legion Post 281. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Monday, March 30, from 4 – 7 p.m.
