Barbara A. Neuhauser, 75, passed away December 31, 2020. She was born in Akron to the late Robert and Emma (Shawver) Sutphin. She was raised in Akron, and then lived in Canal Fulton before moving back to Akron.
Barbara was a 1963 graduate of Garfield High School, volunteered at Akron City Hospital and was a member of the Canal Fulton United Methodist Church. She loved boating and the Cleveland Indians, but was most proud of being an active part of her children’s and grandchildren’s sports activities. She will be deeply missed.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jesse, she is survived by her children, Jeff (Michelle), Stacy (Brad) Johnson and Bryan (Melissa); grandchildren, Bryce, Brady, Brielle and Emily; sister, Linda (Dale) Michalske; sister-in-law, Mary Strouse; her beloved feline companion, Bella; and many other loving relatives and friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to the staffs of Liberty Residence in Wadsworth, Barbie Wise and HomeCare For You Hospice, and Cleveland Clinic Hospice for their heart-felt care of Barbara.
Due to the current Covid pandemic, a private funeral service will be held at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel officiated by Rev. Ron Shultz, with burial at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation at www.komen.org
