Obituary
Bonnie J. Harter, 82, passed away peacefully at her home December 9, 2022. She was born September 19, 1940 in Akron, Ohio to the late James and Madeline (Morris) Slawter and was an Ellet High School graduate.
She was preceded in death by her parents and loving husband, Joseph. She is survived by her son, Scott (Shelly) Harter, and grandchildren, Peyton and Paris Harter.
Bonnie was a beautician by trade, and loved doing hair out of her home for friends and family. She was sharp witted, but kind in her words.
She was a very strong woman who loved to play bingo, and helped at the East Bantam Football Bingo Hall. She was President of Seiberling Owls PTA in the 1970s. Bonnie was a strong, true-blue Democrat that was President of the Summit County Women’s Democratic Club for many years and helped elect many local democrats to office. She loved basketball and was a big Cavaliers and Browns fan, and loved seeing her granddaughters play basketball and soccer.
Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. We will be holding a Celebration of Life at a later date.
