Donald Tabor Obituary

Donald R. “Ted” Tabor, 73, passed away July 28, 2020. He was born in Crossville, TN to the late Euclid and Lina (Woody) Tabor and moved to Akron when he was 14. He was a 1966 Central High School graduate, was a veteran of the United States Army and earned his bachelors in Education from the University of Akron in 1974.

Don was extremely active in the community for many years. He taught at Kenmore High School for 8 years and while there, earned the distinction of being the first male to coach the girls basketball team. He was also instrumental in the lives of many local youths through his company Say Yes To Work and by publishing books and pamphlets.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, James and Paul. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Karen; son, Bryan; twin sister, Betty Jarvis and sister, Shelby Eldridge; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
