Dula Dean Rich

Dula Dean Rich, 88, passed away August 13, 2024. She was born in Akron to the late William and Aretta (Riffle) Holcomb and worked at McDonald’s for over 20 years, where she loved working the drive thru.

Dula was active with the Majestics Baton and Drum Corps, had been president of the PTA at Fraunfelter Elementary School and was past president of the Mothers of Twins. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas (Suzie) and Randy (Cynthia); dear friend and caregiver, Sophie Elefritz; sister, Jean; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; and many step-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Mayford; children, Melaine, Russell and Roger; sisters, Evelyn and Nancy; and brother, Dale.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305 with Rev. Ernie Kemppel officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 10 – 11 a.m., with burial at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
