Everett Frederick Obituary

On March 30, 2022, at 90 years old, the Lord called Everett Jefferson Frederick to his eternal home, where he was reunited with his wife, Ruth, along with many family and friends.

Born October 18, 1931 in Kentucky, this southern gentleman never lost his charm. He grew up on a farm which he also called a Farm Factory. His favorite thing about it was picking golden delicious apples. His sense of humor was unique and to listen to him laugh at his own jokes will forever ring in the ears of all who were blessed to hear it.

Dear Pepsi Cola, you have lost your biggest customer. He no longer needs your beverage as he is now drinking from the River of Life.

The next time you dine at Cracker Barrel, most definitely Everett would highly recommend you order cornbread with pinto beans.

One of his longtime hobbies was fixing lawnmowers. He made tearing apart and rebuilding an engine look easy. He would fix them and give some of them away to those in need.

He retired early at age 55, which allowed him to enjoy raising his two granddaughters. Him singing with his guitar, and being able to make the most realistic train sound heard from anyone - ever - are treasured memories. All the kids wanted to go on field trips with Mr. Frederick because of his cool custom van that he would take them in. Not to mention his generous heart, always buying the kids in the group lemonade on trips to the zoo.

By all accounts, Everett should have left this Earth when he was shot in the head at 18 years old, but God had different plans that included 72 more years to finish out his work here. He will forever be cherished by the loved ones he leaves behind. His genuine love to help people shined through his acts of kindness everywhere he had an opportunity.

He put into action Jesus' commandment to “love one another as I have loved you.”

Hopefully we all can have the same said about us.
