Geraldine M. "Gerry" Siegfried

Geraldine “Gerry” Meyers Siegfried, age 101, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ March 11, 2022. She was born in Cuyahoga Falls, OH to the late John and Bessie Mae (Matheny) Meyers and was a 1939 South High School graduate.

Gerry worked at Goodyear Aerospace during World War II and retired from E.W. Hamlin and Associates with 19 years of service. She was a long-time, active member of South Arlington United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years. She had a tremendous influence on many and will be deeply missed.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation for all the care and devotion that Mom received from the family of caregivers at Rockynol. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 57 years, Norman; brothers, John and William; beloved niece, Kayci Parsons and “adopted daughter”, Brenda Jenkins. She is survived by her sons, Norman (Kathleen) and Joel (Betty); and many dear friends.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 11 a.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Dan Bryant and Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home on Sunday, March 20, from 3 - 5 p.m. Masks are requested. Burial at Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to South Arlington United Methodist Church, 790 South Arlington St., Akron, OH 44306.
