Jon F. King

Jon F. King, 54, gained his wings May 28, 2023. He was born in Akron and was a 1986 North High School graduate.

Jon was highly skilled and passionate about construction and remodeling, and loved to work outdoors. He also loved motorcycles and was a firm believer in Jesus. Jon had a heart of gold, everyone loved him, and he touched everyone that he came across with his sick sense of humor. He loved spending time with his kids and will be deeply missed.

He was met at the gates of heaven with open arms by his father, Keith; brothers, Larry Foto and Ronnie Bonner; and nephew, Jacob Rix. Jon is survived by his children, Jon Kyle, Melissa (Ryan) Brown, Kailey King and Preston King; lifelong companion, Tracy; mother, Rosemarie; siblings, Gina Krim, Michelle (Tim) Rix, Kris (Trisha) King, Kristen (Jeff) Mansfield, Michael Bonner and Adam Bonner; beloved pets, Leo, Snugs, Stormi, Kali and Shadow; many nieces and nephews; and 2 great-nieces.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 12, 2023, from 3 - 5 p.m., at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. The funeral service will immediately follow at 5:00 p.m., with his long-time friend, Pastor Bob McQuillen officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the funeral home in memory of Jon to assist with funeral expenses.
