Robert D. Hale, 99, passed away December 19, 2022. He was born in McConnelsville, OH to the late David and Irene (Fleming) Hale and was an Army veteran of World War II.
Robert retired from Sterling Jewelers and was a former member of The Chapel. He loved spending time on the family boat at Lake Erie, traveling the world with his wife, and the time they spent living in Florida for 10 years. He also enjoyed dancing, playing cards, fishing, camping, water and snow skiing, and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet, and sister, Lucille. He is survived by his children, Mari Fox and Robert “Dave” Hale Jr.; grandchildren, Amy (Mike) Adkins, Robbie (Sarah) Hale III, Billy (Jennifer) Hale and Karre (Dr. Felix) Bradbury; great-grandchildren, Thomas, William, Katherine, Isaac, Lydia, Landon, Cannon, Max, Delaney and Brayden; and former daughter-in-law, Susan.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. He will be laid to rest with his wife Violet on his 100th birthday, Monday, August 28, 2023 at 11:15 a.m. at the Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, 10175 Rawiga Rd., Seville, OH 44273, with grandson Bill conducting the funeral service.
It gives comfort and peace to the family knowing he is with his Lord and Savior.
