Robert W. Saloiye

Robert W. Saloiye, 84, passed away June 2, 2022. He was born in Akron to the late Mike and Marie (Shambach) Saloiye, was an East High School graduate, and was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps.

Robert retired from Musson Rubber Co. with over 40 years of service and was an avid sportsman, especially fishing. He was a devout husband, father and grandfather whose family meant everything to him. He will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Joanne Brookman and Delores Cocciolone. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Doris; children, Joseph Saloiye, Lisa (Alan) Lawrence and Marie (Pete) Rickmann; grandchildren, Robert, Faith, Drew (Kaylee), Daniel and Preston; and many other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 12 noon at Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Ron Shultz officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for 1 hour prior to the service, from 11 am – 12 noon, with burial and military honors at Uniontown Greenlawn Cemetery.
