Donna Ruth (Boyd) Ice

Donna R. Ice, 65, passed away peacefully at home on May 26, 2018. She was born in Akron on March 10, 1953 to the late Gordon and Ruth (Hose) Boyd and was a graduate of Garfield High School. She lived in Akron until 1986 and moved to Griffin, Georgia, where she lived for 30 years. She returned to Ohio, living the last four years in Ravenna.

Donna worked for many years at Circle K, most recently in Brimfield. She loved cooking, baking, music, NASCAR (especially Jeff Gordon), gardening and the outdoors. She also loved to crochet, winning 1st place at the Randolph County Fair for a beautiful Ohio State blanket she made. She was loving and big-hearted, and will be sadly missed.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; brother, Gordon “Buddy” Boyd; and sisters, Charlene “Toots” Callahan and Laura Infante. She is  survived by her son, Ben; daughter, Theresa; grandchildren, Darrell, Ronnie and Bryce; sisters, Ginny Custer, Carolyn (Ron) Durbin and Gloria Papp; special niece, Tina Callahan; and other nieces, nephews and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Pastor Joseph Burkhardt officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 6 – 7 p.m.
