Ella May Harvilic, 86, a woman of many accomplishments, passed away peacefully on April 11, 2024. Born in Weston, WV, to the late Henry and Anna (Burkhammer) Curtis, she was a proud graduate of Weston High School. Ella's dedication was evident in her years of service as a carrier at the Stow Post Office, a role she retired from.
Her unwavering faith guided Ella's life, and she cherished many activities. In retirement, she enjoyed perfecting her short game, sharing laughter with cherished friends who became like family, and immersing herself in the theatre world. An avid sports enthusiast with a sharp, quick-witted tongue, Ella remained fiercely passionate until the end.
Ella will be remembered for her undying loyalty, independence, and adrenaline drive. She is survived by her sister, Millie Easley, and a host of nieces, nephews, and her special 'boys,' who held a dear place in her heart.
We invite you to honor Ella's life at her funeral service, which will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 1 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305, with David Harstine officiating. Before the service, calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 12 to 1 p.m., allowing friends and family to pay their respects.
