Karl E. Grubaugh, 84, passed away January 18, 2019. He was born in Akron to the late Kenneth and Jesse (McMaster) Grubaugh and was a proud Marine veteran of the Korean War.
Karl worked for the New Hope Treatment Center and loved traveling out west. He moved to southern California in 1981 before returning to Cambridge in 1993.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Jackie; son, Paul; brothers, Bill and Mel; step-children, Debbie and Patrick; and brother-in-law, Fred Nelson Jr. He is survived by his wife, Alice; children, Karl B. (Judy), Janet and Jackie (John); step-children, Bill, Michael, Jolene, Cathy and Mark; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Clairebell; brother, Russ; and sister-in-law, Madeline.
The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12 noon at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., with Rev. Sandy Riffle officiating. Calling hours will be at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service, from 11 am – 12 noon. Burial with military honors will follow at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
