Randall “Keith” Carper, 70, of Akron, OH passed away Sunday, October 18, 2020 after a lengthy battle with cancer and other medical issues. He was born at the Gordon Depue Hospital in Spencer, WV on February 21, 1950 to Bradford Lee Carper Sr. and Mabel Mae Westfall and was a skilled brick mason, auto mechanic and businessman for over 30 years in the Akron area. Keith enjoyed watching football, betting on the ponies, helping others, buying and selling cars, and playing poker with his family and friends over the years. He spent his later years enjoying friends at the tavern he owned here in Akron and making frequent trips “down home” with his siblings to visit family. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rhonda “Diane” Rogers-Carper; daughter, Lisa (Brian) Stott and grandson, Caiden Monroe Stott, of North Canton; sisters, Shirley (Dennis) Eminger and Connie Carper of Akron, Juanita Webb, of Spencer, WV, Joyce (L. Hank) Hall of Amma, WV, and Theresa (Fred) Goodwin, of Looneyville, WV; brothers, Larry (Shelly) Carper, of Lefthand, WV and Billy (Kathleen) Carper of Uniontown, OH; and many nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, October 21, 2020 from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home and Chapel, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305. A family funeral service will be held at Taylor Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with burial at Amma Cemetery. Flowers are welcome at calling hours and masks will be required.
